Update on SCU Transition Timeline (SD & Chicago Students)

Dear Students,

As previously announced, PCHS Chicago and San Diego campuses are in the process of transitioning to Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU). This transition will allow your campus to become part of SCU while maintaining continuity of your academic programs and student experience.

Our original plan was to complete the transition during the April break. While we shared that the timing could shift if needed, we have now confirmed that the transition will take place between the Summer and Fall 2026 terms, specifically after August 16 and before September 1, 2026.

This updated timeline allows us to honor our shared commitment with SCU to ensure the transition is thoughtful, well-coordinated, and minimally disruptive to your education. It provides additional time to complete required approvals, finalize systems and operations, and ensure continuity across academics, clinics, and student services.

This change does not impact the current term. However, with this update, students graduating in August will now earn their degree from PCHS instead of SCU.

Our priority remains working with SCU to deliver a transition that’s stable, predictable, and aligned with our mission and values while keeping your education on track.

We’ll continue sharing updates as they become available. Please review the updated Student FAQs for additional details, and feel free to send any questions to [email protected].

Warm Regards,

Malcolm Youngren
