Hire date – Early July 2024
Position Summary:
Pacific College’s social media team is looking for three content creators! This role is ideal for a student who loves creating social media content, connecting with others on-campus and online, and who wants to learn more about digital marketing before promoting their own services after graduation.
While a keen interest in social media and familiarity with vertical video content is ideal, this is an entry-level position and we do not expect applicants to have work experience in digital marketing before applying.
The work you will be doing is fun and allows for a flexible schedule. However, it does require a sharp eye for detail, organizational skills, and careful dedication to medical accuracy as the content you will be creating for the Pacific College social media accounts is public-facing (great resume builder!).
The ideal candidate will preferably have experience creating vertical video content for social media and have a few examples ready to submit with the application. Experience shooting and editing videos about natural medicine topics is a major plus!
Key Responsibilities:
- Shoot features of #PacificPeople to showcase our community on social media. These are short-form videos that spotlight students, faculty, or staff members from your campus. Ideas: Allow them to teach viewers a fun fact about their medicine, host a short interview so they can share their journey, have them list 5 tips for new students in their program, “a day in the life” of a clinic intern, etc.
- Your content can be educational, inspirational, comical, step-by-step instructional, and so on as long as it authentically represents our community.
- PCHS is also seeking to expand awareness about our many off-site clinics and community outreach events. The content creator must be willing to attend some off-site events to capture smartphone photo/video. You do not need to stay the entire time, just long enough to capture content we can share on social.
- Attend on-campus events (holiday parties, Student Council workshops, etc) to capture photo/video content. Again, you would not need to stay for the whole event.
Availability Requirements:
- We will hire one student on each campus. Online students are not eligible.
- Students must be eligible for the Federal Work Study (FWS) program. Please check with your Financial Aid office to confirm eligibility before applying.
- The position requires 5-10 hours per week.
- The pay rate will be minimum wage.
- Hours are flexible and can be done on the student’s own schedule.
- Students who are preparing to graduate this year are not eligible.
