How to Check for Registration Holds

📌 Registration Holds Overview

Students must resolve any registration holds before enrolling in courses for a subsequent term. Common reasons for registration holds include:

  • Missing application documents required by the Admissions Department
  • Outstanding tuition payments
  • Overdue library materials or fees
  • Pending approval from an Academic Advisor for continued enrollment

Students may have holds from one or more departments. To resolve a hold, contact the appropriate office listed below:

HOLD AD – Registration Academics Department  

Meet with your Academic Advisor and submit inquiries directly to them

 

HOLD Admissions – Missing Documents Admissions Department Meet with the Applicant Coordinator

 

HOLD Bursar – Registration Bursar’s Department Meet with the Bursar and direct inquiries to their office

 

HOLD Library Library Meet with the Library Manager

 

🔍 How to Identify Registration Holds

Upon logging into the Student Portal, the first screen displayed is My Home Page. Any registration holds will be indicated by a number next to Holds or Message Center.
To view specific departmental holds, click on the Message Center field.
Note: Mobile devices may not accurately display registration hold information. For best results, use a desktop or laptop.

 

⏳ Hold Removal Timeline

Holds are typically removed within 24 business hours after resolution. If a hold remains on your account beyond this timeframe, please contact the relevant department for assistance.

Step 1

Log into your student portal. Students can access the student portal via the HUB or by copying and pasting this address in a browser: portal.pacificcollege.edu. 

Step 2

Holds are displayed in the top-left corner of the screen, indicated by a red exclamation point icon next to a red circle showing the total number of active holds.

Step 3

Click on the red circle icon to view the type of hold currently affecting your account. To see a complete list of all holds on record, select the View All Holds link next to the green arrow.

Step 4

The My Message Center page will appear, allowing you to review all active holds, including the subject of each hold and a message indicating whom to contact to resolve the issue.
