IEYESHA GRIFFITH
Hello, my name is Ieysha Griffith, and I’ve been an engaged nursing student here at Pacific College of Health and Science since Fall 2024. I am actively on campus and committed to understanding and participating in the decisions that shape our school environment. I am applying for the Nursing Program Representative position because our program currently lacks a voice on the Student Council (SC) board. I believe it is necessary that the voices of nursing students are heard, especially when decisions affecting the entire student body are being made, as our specific program needs and concerns are often overlooked without direct input.
My qualifications for this role stem directly from my commitment to my peers. I’ve found that my fellow nursing students already frequently rely on me for support, advocacy, and assistance when navigating challenges. This existing rapport and my proven willingness to actively listen and speak up make me a natural fit for this position. Beyond addressing program-specific issues, I want to champion efforts to get nursing students more involved in campus life and activities, which I believe will be essential in helping to ease the significant stressors inherent in nursing school. I am fully prepared to fulfill the required duties, including holding regular monthly meetings to gather direct input from students, guaranteeing that our program’s perspective is always front and center in the decision-making process. Thank you for considering my application.
